Student Services

Student Service is available to students. Its aim is to assist students and graduates for their further education and career, provide information and advice in selecting the right career paths, personal counseling in matters related to the student academics. Student Handbook, examination results, other student resources required during the program and regular news updates on new IIBIT programs.

Change of Contact Details

All students are required to inform their contact details within 7 days after arriving in Australia and within 7 seven days of each change of address.

Academics

IIBIT offers a complete suite of programs in the fields of Information Technology, Business and financial Management designed to meet the needs of today’s professionals. Students can select a program to suit their needs based on their academic/professional background and the study commitment they are prepared to make, and then progress from one program to another if desired.

Whether undertaking a Certificate program or a Diploma in a specific stream the skills and knowledge gained by students provide life-long benefits in the commercial world.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students who consider that they have on-the-job workplace experience or prior certification that covers all the learning outcomes of a particular module may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning, or exemptions.

To apply for RPL, students are adviced to bring their transcripts, certificate of achievement from any other Registered Training Organizations (RTO’s)

Students Counseling

Lecturers are available to assist students with learning difficulties. If the student's own lecturer is unavailable students are free to approach the principal who will organise assistance. Students with personal or legal problems should see student services staff, who will be able to assist or refer the student to the appropriate agency.

Learning Support For Students With Learning Difficulties/Disabilities

The institute provides direct and peer mentoring services for the students with learning difficulties. Additional practical classes may be scheduled, as required and special tutoring will be arranged on an hourly basis.

Accommodation/Home stay

If students require accommodation, the institute can arrange home stay or advise on other types of accommodation. If students have any problems with their home stay arrangements they should consult the student services.
Students must also let the office know if their address changes during their course. It is important that the institute should be able to contact students or relatives in the case of emergencies.

Assessment

Assessments are based on two performance levels:

Competence has been demonstrated for that module by achieving 75% or more
